Join us at the inaugural Seed Circus - a day of learning, swapping, eating and meeting interesting people. Come when you like. Go when you must. Chomp on free organic popcorn inbetween, and learn to make seedballs while you're there...
Seed Circus kicks off at 11am, and we'll all be there till 4pm... at 107 Redfern St, Redfern. FREE for everyone.
11am - Seed Saving with Michael Hewins: zucchini, pumpkins and other cucurbits - learn how to save them properly!
12pm - City Weed Foraging with Diego Bonnetto (a short walk to Redfern Park)
1pm - SeedBall making with Floyd Constable - learn how to make seed bombs for urban guerrilla edibles
2pm - Seed Saving with Michael Hewins: beautiful beans! shucking, winnowing and saving for spring
3pm - Soil Blocking with Michael Hewins: learn to make soil blocks and boost your spring seedling production
3pm – Corn Tortilla making with Helena Garcia Garza of Fuego de la Tierra.
In addition to the workshops, this day will be one big ongoing SWAPMEET - bring what you have to swap, go to the swapmeet area and either dive in and get swapping, or tell a Milkwood person and we'll connect you up with other likely swappers...
We will also have a range of free seeds for everyone who comes along to take home, and giveaways throughout the day, including Milkwood Farm pickles!

107 Projects is the vision of seven of the driving forces behind Knot Gallery, The Frequency Lab and Token Imagination. In collaboration with a community of dedicated creative practitioners, these collectives have been working together to produce arts events since 2001.
107 Projects' new space at Redfern Street is a place for creative practitioners to perform, exhibit, develop new works, hone their skills, engage in workshops and continue to grow professionally.
