Description

HM1Land under Holistic Management® becomes exceptionally productive and sustainable. Developed over a 40 year period of observation and experimentation, with documented results, Holistic Management® can restore pastures to full health and productivity while also increasing their carrying capacity.

An essential workshop for anyone who wants to utilize good grazing management to progress their land and their bottom line.

This Holistic Management® workshop offers Farmers, land managers and landholders a unique opportunity to learn the secrets of this Regenerative Agriculture technique from one of the world's best: Kirk Gadzia of Resource Management services.

HM diagramThis unique workshop is also in a farmer-friendly 3 day format. Join Kirk as he takes you through proven techniques for sustainable grazing and agricultural land management which emphasises soil building, water conservation, and long range planning for productivity and health.

Regenerative Agriculture benefits the land and soil – and it also materially and financially benefits the farmer. In this workshop, you’ll learn principles and practices that can be used to conserve water, regenerate degraded soils rapidly, and incorporate the use of grazing animals beneficially.

This course is FarmReady approved. Farmers, primary producers, land managers and their families may be eligible for a full reimbursement of the costs for this workshop, including travel and accommodation. About this course:

top of the hillHolistic Resource Management was pioneered by Allan Savory more than 40 years ago to offer land stewards a way to make grazing, land management and financial decisions that positively impact land health and productivity. More than 30 million acres of land worldwide currently benefit from Holistic Management practices.

When land is under Holistic Management, land managers manage the relationships between land, grazing animals, and water in ways that mimic nature.

Benefits include improving soil health and biodiversity of rangelands and pastures, increasing grazing capacity, optimally using rainfall and conserving water, growing healthier crops and achieving higher yields, reversing desertification in brittle environments, breaking the cycle of food and water insecurity, and enhancing family relationships through creating a farm plan that allows everyone on the farm to truly look ahead - with confidence.

As part of this course, you'll learn holistic management goal setting, holistic decision making, and introductions to grazing planning, financial planning and land management planning.

Held at our family farm near Mudgee, this course will also allow you the chance to see Holistic Management in action as we apply these techniques to our farm with Kirk as part of this workshop.

"The ecologically-destructive path we are on is as if all of humanity is in a giant car heading towards a brick wall at 100 miles per hour. Everyone in it is arguing about where to sit. Permaculturalists are some of the only ones who know how to put on the brakes and turn the wheel
