Join Rosemary Morrow for seven days of intensive permaculture teacher training that will change the way you think about education, and enable you to take action towards a permaculture teaching career.

Permaculture teacher training can build your ability to empower others with life-changing skills. Learn how to pass on knowledge of permaculture theory and practice in a way that creates real change within your students, and activates entire communities.

This intensive 7-day on-farm course will cover many essential and practical aspects of permaculture teaching that can then be applied to PDC teaching, community permaculture education, permaculture school garden teaching and many other forms of knowledge transfer.

Rosemary Morrow is very well known for her pragmatic and effective approach to creating Permaculture systems across an incredibly broad range of environments. We're excited to have her back at Milkwood Farm for this special course.

Her knowledge on how to create abundance, food security and successful sustainable farming models, no matter what the country, is extensive. In addition to being a much valued permaculture designer and educator, Rosemary is also passionate about permaculture teacher training.

Rosemary has contributed the formation of community-scale Permaculture systems in such diverse biospheres as Uganda, Somalia, Thailand, the Middle East, Bhutan, Australia and northern Europe, to name but a few.

Pre-requisites for this course:

In order to attend this course you must have either completed a Permaculture Design Certificate somewhere in the world, or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge.

Included in your course fee:

Your course fee includes a free copy of Permaculture Teachers Notes, Rosemary Morrow's fabulous notes for Permaculture teachers, and extensive post-course resources. We also make available our extensive library of permaculture texts for your use during your course.

Your course also includes organic lunch and snacks during the day. Meals are organic country cooking with omnivore or vegetarian options, with a high ratio of yummy organic produce coming from Milkwood Farm itself!

This course is offered at a fair share rate, to ensure it's as accessible as possible for everyone. As such, we can't offer any further discounts on this particular course apart from the earlybird price. So please book in quick!

During the course:

cambodia 3Class starts on the morning of 20th February and concludes in the afternoon of 26th February. Students taking the camping option are welcome to arrive the afternoon before the course. Departures are on the afternoon of the final day, as we do not offer a camping option on the night following the course.

Classes run in a 9am - 5pm format. Outside class hours, students that are camping are welcome to interact with the farm and its daily chores, go for a swim, go for a bushwalk or make use of our extensive library of Permaculture and sustainability texts.

Once you've booked into this course, we will contact you via email regarding food preferences, what to bring along with you, and any further info you might need.

Milkwood is a small organic family farm near Mudgee in Central Western NSW. A Permaculture Demonstration Farm currently under development, Milkwood features extensive permaculture earthworks and water-harvesting features, our amazing passive-solar cottage, food-forests in the making, seedball production and many other examples of sustainable and regenerative best-practice for farming and living.

Our courses are held in our family's woolshed with beautiful views of Campbells Creek Valley and our organic farm cooking is such that students often joke about moving in permanently.

Getting here

Mudgee is an easy 4 hours by car or 40 minutes by air from Sydney, and is serviced by Countrylink Rail and Mudgee Airport. See our Getting to Milkwood page for a map and full details on getting here by plane, train or automobile.

Accommodation

- For this short course, we offer the option to stay at Milkwood Farm in our creekside camping area for $30 per person, per night. This option includes dinner, breakfast and use of all amenities. See our Staying at Milkwood page for more details. After booking into your course we will shortly contact you about whether you'd like to take up this option.

- Stay at Bushlands Holiday Park in Windeyer, 15 minutes up the road. Bushlands has a range of cabin and camping options, and the Windeyer Pub, located right next door, does counter meals some nights of the week.

- BaMack Homestead B&B is 20 minutes up the road from Milkwood Farm. They have special rates for Milkwood students, so mention us when you book: 02 6373 8312.
